Findings

We carry findings in sterling silver, 14K gold, 14K gold-filled, Vintaj nickel free brass, and Tierracast plated metal. Our findings include clasps, earwires, jumprings, connectors, bead caps, and cones.

Books

We have a large selection of books on a variety of beading topics including bead stringing and design, beadweaving techniques, metalwork, working with glass, precious metal clay, and the history of beads. Our books are for the beginner beader or for the advanced.

We carry a current and comprehensive collection of magazines including titles such as Beadwork, Bead and Button, Jewelry Artist, Creative Beading, Belle Armoire Jewelry, Stringing, and much, much more!

Other Services we offer:

BYOB and Open Work Stations
You can pull up a chair and work on a project at one of our open workstations whenever large classes or parties aren't in session. Bring Your Own Beads! You can use our tools if you want. Table space is first come, first serve, but it is rare that we wouldnt have room for you. You can always call ahead to make sure. Phone 616-296-0020.

You Design & String, We Finish
Not sure how to crimp or make a wrapped loop? Not sure you want to learn? You can pick your beads and assemble your design and we will attach the clasp or earring findings. For most strung pieces the labor charge is $3.00. You can design earrings or pendants too! Labor charges start at $1.00 for pendants and $2.00 for basic earrings.

Repairs
We can repair a wide range of beaded jewelry. Re-stringing labor charges start at $5.00 for bracelets and $8.00 for necklaces. Labor charges will vary depending on the nature of the repair. Bring your jewelry in and we can give you an estimate. We cannot make repairs that require soldering.

Special Event Parties
We offer private parties for kids and adults! Any reason will do!
Celebrate your childs next birthday or a night out with your friends at The Fringe! Private parties can be set up a variety of ways. Here are some suggestions:
Children 5 years and up will learn basic skills to construct a memory wire necklace and/or bracelet. We request at least one parent to stay and supervise the party. Food and drinks are welcome. There is a $10.00 per hour room rental fee. A $30.00 deposit is required to reserve the date and time. A memory wire bracelet or necklace is $5.00 per person plus tax.
Additional projects can be arranged for older children and adult parties. Choose from the party beads and a variety of construction techniques and each project will have a specific cost. The projects can range from $5 to $15.00 and up. There is a $10.00 per hour room rental fee. A $30.00 deposit is required to reserve the date and time.
You can also choose from any of the beads in the store and a variety of construction techniques. With this option a 15% discount will be given on the beads and supplies. Labor charges will be added if our staff is needed for finishing, or you can use our tools and do the finishing yourself. Each item will be priced based on the cost of the beads, materials and any labor charges. There is a $10.00 per hour room rental fee. A $30.00 deposit is required to reserve the date and time.

Fringe Benefits Club
Are you a member? Come in the store and sign-up today! We will keep track of your pre-tax purchases for each visit. For every $100 you spend, you will receive a $10.00 Gift Certificate to the store.

Private Lessons
You can choose the class or project and we will teach you how to do it (some exceptions may apply). The fee is $20.00 an hour with a one hour minimum. Call 616-296-0020 to schedule a time! At least a week in advance is best and specific dates and times are subject to instructor and room availability.

Private Classes
With two or more people most classes can be arranged for a time that fits your schedule. Price per person is based on a class selected. Call 616-296-0020 to reserve your date and time.
